Having worked most of my life in the hospitality business, one component that was consistent throughout my experience has been the use of Property Management Systems. With any new system, training is vital. And beyond that, support is crucial. When my wife and I started our own business, a small boutique vacation rental property, we knew that we were eventually going to need to invest in a system that would help us manage our property effectively and efficiently. On the advice from a colleague in the industry, I investigated Cloudbeds as a possible option for us. Boy, am I ever glad we did! Obviously having some background in using PMS systems gave me a bit of an advantage in understanding how this all would work. From the very beginning with the initial set up, Cloudbeds employees were fantastic. And it got even better from there when I was paired with Jessica Irvin, my onboard coach. She made me feel comfortable right from the start and explained things to me in a way that made it easy to apply what we had discussed. She has also been super flexible with her schedule and made time from me in every case. I'd go so far as to say my experience with Jessica, and Cloudbeds as a whole, has been outstanding and has made me feel really confident about our decision to have Cloudbeds to manage our property. All software has some limitations and any that were experienced with Cloudbeds were easily managed by being flexible in how we operated operations. For example, once connected with Airbnb we lost the ability to manage our requests before a booking took place. This gave us greater control over what types of guests we were able to accommodate. With "Insta Book" turned on now, we simply had to pivot and ensure that we approached our potential bookings differently by communicating certain aspects of our property so guests would send us an "inquiry" , rather than an instant booking. As for actual improvements, I'll continue using your product, and as opportunities for improvement arise, we will communicate them appropriately.
