RoomStay Becomes First Hotel & Holiday Park Booking Engine to Offer Afterpay
A First for Hotel and Holiday Park Bookings
RoomStay has today announced it is the first booking engine in the hotel and holiday park space to offer Afterpay as a payment option, giving guests greater flexibility when booking their next getaway. The functionality is now live across RoomStay’s platform.
This industry-first move responds to a rising demand among leisure travellers for buy now, pay later (BNPL) solutions, offering guests more control over how and when they pay for accommodation.
“We know travellers are increasingly looking for flexible ways to pay,” said Declan Mimnagh, RoomStay founder. “By offering Afterpay, we’re helping accommodation providers remove booking barriers and drive higher conversions at checkout, without sacrificing control or revenue.”
The new feature enables guests to split the cost of their booking into four manageable instalments, reducing upfront friction while opening up opportunities for higher average daily rates (ADR), premium room upgrades and upsells.
CABN, one of RoomStay’s early adopters, has already seen the benefits of the new feature.
“Afterpay via RoomStay has been an excellent addition for CABN. It gives our guests more freedom in how they book and pay for their stays, which ultimately helps more people experience our accommodation,” said Shane Laidlaw, Marketing & Distribution, CABN.
This latest release continues to build on RoomStay’s commitment to delivering smarter, more seamless booking journeys for hotels and holiday parks. By integrating Afterpay directly into the booking engine, RoomStay clients can now offer a more inclusive, guest-friendly payment experience, without needing to modify their existing setup.
“This is about helping accommodation providers capture more bookings from the moment of intent,” said Mimnagh. “We’re not just keeping up, we’re setting the pace.”
