What do you like most?
When you have a query, a phone call to the Freetobook staff in Glasgow will quickly, on most occasions, resolve any issues. Phone calls are answered promptly by friendly staff, and messages sent to the help centre are also responded to asap. I have had two holiday cottages registered with the site, and they treat my novice enquiries with great professionalism and don't make me feel that my queries are insignificant. It is also great to speak to a 'real' person rather than a chatbot or a call centre provider from overseas (which is highly frustrating when you are a novice as I have experienced with Airbnb and Booking.com). Freetobook regularly do video seminars to explain the services they provide, and these are easy to follow and I can always refer to them when necessary. I really find the booking page user friendly and easy to manage. The messaging system with guests is super easy to manage and the scheduled messages are a godsend.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
The only issue that I had with freetobook was when I was in the process of selling one of my holiday cottages the buyer was able to sign up to the site before she owned the property. I don't know why it wasn't flagged that the property was already registered and owned by me. Fortunately it was a legitimate and straightforward transaction, and the holiday cottage passed to the new owner without any issue. However, it did make me question whether this could be open to an unscrupulous operator trying to fake an account.
