Mews named preferred PMS supplier for Resorts of Ontario
Mews is the only property management system selected as a preferred supplier for Resorts of Ontario, giving the association's members access to modern, cloud-native hospitality technology.
Mews, the operating system for hospitality, has been named a preferred supplier for Resorts of Ontario, a not-for-profit provincial trade association representing more than 100 resorts, lodges, cottages and country inns. Mews is the only property management system to hold preferred supplier status with the association, giving members a trusted way to modernize their operations and deliver better guest experiences.
Established in 1942, Resorts of Ontario has spent over eight decades advocating for Ontario's independent resort sector. The segment runs on genuine hospitality but historically has had limited access to the kind of technology that larger hotel groups take for granted. Member properties span a wide range of sizes and styles, from spa and wellness retreats to family resorts and adventure lodges, located throughout the province from Niagara wine country to Muskoka, Haliburton and Algonquin.
As a preferred supplier, Mews gives Resorts of Ontario members access to a single, cloud-native operating system that automates key workflows including reservations, payments and reporting, reducing the manual work that pulls teams away from guests. For properties on legacy systems, it offers a practical path to modernization without the complexity of a full IT overhaul.
“Our members have been delivering exceptional Ontario getaways for 84years, and they deserve technology that keeps pace with what modern guests expect," said Kerri Sass, Executive Director, Resorts of Ontario. "We selected Mews as an approved preferred PMS supplier because we believe it gives our members the best foundation to run their properties well, with less time on administration, more time on hospitality. Part of our job as an association is to open doors for our members and partnering with Mews is one of the most practical ways, we can do that right now."
Elmhirst's Resort, a historic property on Rice Lake and Resorts of Ontario’s member since 1956, is already running on Mews. "Every hour your team spends in the support queue with software is an hour they're not spending with guests," said Henry Elmhirst, fifth generation, Elmhirst's Resort.
"Since moving to Mews, we've been able to simplify the day-to-day – from how we book and package reservations to how we process payments – and that's given our team more time to focus on our guests' experience. I'd encourage any Resorts of Ontario member who's still on a legacy system to take a serious look."
"Independent resorts are one of the most underserved segments in hospitality technology, and Ontario has some of the best in the world," said Michael Coscetta, President, Mews. “These are operators who have built their businesses on genuine hospitality, the kind that gets passed down through generations. With the right technology behind them, they can spend less time managing systems and more time delivering the experiences that keep guests coming back.”
