VELA Chooses Mews to Digitalize Operations and Elevate Guest Experiences Across its Three Coastal Properties
With all three properties live on Mews, VELA is already experiencing the benefits of streamlined operations and a more modern guest journey
VELA Hotels, known for its effortless maritime charm and relaxed luxury, has selected Mews, the industry-leading hospitality cloud, to power its growing portfolio of coastal retreats.
VELA combines striking design, nature-inspired comfort and elevated lifestyle across its collection of apartment-style suites along the Baltic coast. Each property reflects the brand’s mission: to create a laid-back, design-forward holiday experience – with the unique ability for guests to not only book but buy their suite by the sea.
“Our goal with VELA has always been to create places where guests feel truly at ease. That starts with operations that work seamlessly behind the scenes,” said Vitaliy Uralov, Director of Revenue at VELA Hotels. “Mews allows us to automate and digitize our workflows, giving our team more time to focus on the guest experience and less on admin. That’s the kind of change that supports our entire brand ethos.”
By moving away from a legacy, on-premise PMS to Mews, VELA now benefits from a fully cloud-based platform that powers automation, self-service and easily connected third-party integrations. All three properties use Mews Terminals for seamless, integrated payments in their restaurant, as well as single sign-on (SSO) for faster, more secure staff access.
“Mews gives us the flexibility to test and adopt new tools fast, without long delays or expensive connection fees,” added Uralov. “It’s empowering our teams to modernize, re-think long-standing processes and deliver a smoother experience for our guests.”
With their three current properties now live on Mews, VELA is already looking ahead to further expansion. The brand’s next location, opening in early 2026, will debut a fully self-check-in model – replacing the traditional reception desk with a welcoming community table. This is a bold new direction for VELA that Mews is well-positioned to support.
