What do you like most?
I searched and enquired a lot of options before zeroing in on Aiosell Technologies for my hotel property management system (PMS) and channel manager. Majority of other players wanted a fixed annual fee for PMS ranging from INR 30000/- to INR 150000/- (USD 350 to USD 1750) and most of them didn’t have channel manager in-house. I had to choose a channel manager from the options provided by them for compatibility which was costing another INR 18000/- to INR 60000/- (USD 200 to USD 650) per annum. All in one module: PMS, Channel Manager, Booking Engine, Revenue Management with dynamic pricing, POS, Inventory & Purchase Management, Accounting, Housekeeping, HR, CRM, Banquet Management, and Reputation/Reviews management. Since the PMS and Channel Manager both are in a single module, there are no compatibility issues, you can update prices in channel manager on your own, no need to depend or communicate separately with channel manager executives. Using PMS and Channel manager from different vendors creates compatibility issues when one of the system faces network issues or upon software upgrades. There will also be latency issues since PMS and channel manager from different vendors work on different platforms/servers. The communication between PMS and OTAs is not real time and can sometimes create over bookings. No such issues with Aiosell since it’s a single well integrated software. AI based dynamic pricing is icing on a cake, works very well to improve revenue. Commission based model (3.5% on direct online bookings only, no commission on walk in/on site bookings). Basically the system is free to use for on-site bookings. White labelling, API access, OTA listings are also provided with extra fee if needed. The system is quite user friendly, self intuitive and well integrated for seamless operations. Customer support usually responds within one hour and is most of the time is just a call away. Commendable work considering Aiosell was founded just a few years back in 2019.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Booking engine sucks, needs better design. Minimum description on booking engine makes it harder for guests to decide whether to book or not. No option to update prices on booking engine separately. Usually we update prices on channel manager and run campaigns on OTAs which results in significantly lower price from the prices which are updated on channel manager. I try to run coupons on booking engine to reduce prices but the post coupon prices are only visible once a customer tries to book a room. Google will show the base price only which is higher and discourages customers to consider booking on booking engine. Mobile app doesn't have the functionality of the web interface, not a killer , I use chrome on mobile to access the desktop version and everything works just as fine.
