What do you like most?
The staff are friendly and patient! The reservation system is easy-to-use software with lots of reporting features. Part-time desk clerks can master the taking of reservations simply and the management team can use detailed accounting reports for managing. There are ways to manipulate the reports on the screen and you can export to spreadsheet format to deep dive if needed. I have used this software for many years. It handles condominium rotations and back-end financials better than most competitors. There are billing and accounting features available that I don't know if many customers use but they should. We are getting better at using accounts and invoices - that part of the program that makes it lots easier to manage groups. The software works with another program like an outside booking engine or other rate managing software, we have appreciated introductions to companies that provide solutions that Lodgical cannot. (GuestCentric and RateBoard as examples) Overall, this property management software is good for small day-to-day property use and can be expanded to a large condominium hotel purpose with little effort. I am always happy to answer any questions that a potential customer might have or be a guinea pig for new things!
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Better communication of upgrades or improvements in the program. Sometimes new features or solutions are added but we don't find out about them soon enough. Webinars and tutorials to describe the uses of some of the reporting features, maybe a way to have "experts" show best practices! I have found as the company grows that the ability to be compatible with other software and booking engines is growing, giving us more opportunity to grow our business and open us up to working with other vendors. I love that the company is expanding and new features are being made available but I am still able to contact the local humans that I am comfortable speaking with - I always feel like they understand my problems and are willing to help. Whether or not it is a big tech problem or a minor thing or I just can't remember where to print a certain report!I
