What do you like most?
*Oversight- As a manager oversight is very important, every day stats are easily accessible from our PMS system within this application and it allows us to plan ahead. Pronto is easy on the eyes and gives effective real time updates. Which allows FD and HSK to be very much in sync which is very important, the daily progress of the housekeeping department is easy enough to follow. Pronto assists in keeping up the operational efficiency, again real time updates are key for us to maximize what we get out of our team and assists us to avoid wasting valuable resources. Within a hotel multiple departments need to collaborate in order for everything to run smoothly. Currently Sweeplys pronto is a great platform for interdepartmental collaboration and allows us to easily monitor and follow up on various projects, Front office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Maintenance are all using this tool within our property. Recently I partook in a project with Sweeply developing a feature for Optional Housekeeping. This cooperation allowed Sweeply to create a fantastic function that is now used across the chain. Our guests now have more control over the how their rooms are serviced during their stay and this function allows us to save time and resources and most importantly decreases our environmental footprint. Like the rest of the application this is very user friendly function and we can shift our focus to a more long-term approach.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
The pronto application used by the regular housekeeper needs improving. A standard smartphone unfortunately struggles to run the application as it is quite heavy to run. Top tier phones don´t have this issue. However, this has certain consequences, time spent in rooms is not reliable or accurate as it takes to long to open up each area to hit play/pause/stop. Which consequently impacts the reporting function of this system. I am aware there are some exciting projects within Sweeply to address the above mentioned issue. I hope we´ll see those changes soon. I truly like pronto it is among the best platform I have experienced for operational collaboration within a hotel, I think as they grow the available functions will improve and become more practical and reliable in use.
