What do you like most?
Operto does a really strong job of simplifying the guest journey while taking a lot of pressure off operations. The biggest win is how it brings everything into one place. Pre-arrival messaging, check-in, access, and in-stay communication all flow together in a way that feels seamless for both guests and staff. The smart device integrations are a major advantage. Being able to manage door access and other in-room controls centrally adds both efficiency and a layer of security that is especially important in a boutique luxury setting. On the operations side, it reduces a lot of manual work. Automated messaging, digital guidebooks, and task coordination help keep things consistent without constant oversight. The integration with Cloudbeds also makes a difference since guest data flows cleanly and triggers the right workflows without duplication. From the guest perspective, it feels easy and modern. From the team side, it creates structure and visibility that make day to day operations much smoother.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
There is definitely room to make the backend a bit more intuitive. Some parts of the setup and navigation are not as straightforward as they could be, especially when you are first getting started or trying to make quick updates. It would also be helpful to have more flexibility in customizing certain elements of the guest portal and automations so properties can tailor the experience even more to their brand and workflows. That said, their customer service really helps close that gap. The team is responsive and hands on, which makes it much easier to work through challenges and get things set up the right way.
