What do you like most?
We have been using Logical Solutions as our property management systems for many years and have always enjoyed the personal service we receive when any questions or issues arise. Being able to call and speak with local support people is very important. They know our area and how our business operates. They are also familiar with other support persons (IT Professionals) in our area. Having a relationship with the payment systems company we use is also nice. Especially since the products need to work seamlessly together.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
If I could change one thing about the software, I would improve the database search functions. It would be helpful to search the data base with more options. Every detail in the guest profile should be able to be searched. I would like to be able to search for all guests named Bob that live in a certain town or zip code for instance. It would help when a garbled phone message is left to figure out who the call came from. Also, when manually entering a reservation it would be nice if the first field that was entered was the guests last name and if the system was searching for past guests and bringing up all guest with that name as the first letters are entered. It would be a big help in determining whether a guest has stayed with us in the past. Sometimes returning guests give a different version of their first name. A Robert may call and give his name as Bob or Rob. At this time if the first and last name are not entered with the exact first and last name and exact spelling the system does not recognize or find that guest in the database. It would help to have a data base that we are able to pin point where guests are from for marketing purposes. Being able to search the data base by city would be more helpful than by zip code as many larger cities have several different zip codes. And searching by state would help to show larger regions. The phone number look up does not always work either.
