What do you like most?
MEWS has completely elevated how we manage our hospitality operations. The platform offers an exceptional guest journey from booking to check-out, ensuring a seamless experience for both guests and staff. Its user-friendly interface makes daily operations intuitive, reducing the learning curve for team members at all levels. The open API integration is a huge advantage, allowing us to connect MEWS effortlessly with our other systems such as Runnr.ai, accounting software, and CRM tools. This has greatly improved efficiency and reduced manual work. The MEWS POS is another standout feature. It is extremely user-friendly, allowing staff to process orders at remarkable speed, which is crucial during peak service times. The intuitive design minimizes errors and ensures guests receive a smooth and quick service experience, whether they are in the restaurant, bar, or ordering through room service. The room service function in particular is perfectly designed for both guests and staff, making ordering from the comfort of a room simple, accurate, and efficient. Guests enjoy a clear menu and quick delivery, while staff benefit from streamlined communication and reduced mistakes. The onboarding process for new users is incredibly well-structured, with clear training resources and responsive support, ensuring a smooth transition without disruption to operations. The flexibility of the system means it can adapt to different business models, from boutique hotels to large-scale resorts, and it has been invaluable for managing multiple revenue streams and services in one place.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
One key area of improvement would be the addition of a Service Charge functionality tailored specifically for the Indonesian and Southeast Asian markets. In these regions, service charges are an industry standard and an important part of the guest billing structure, and having this feature directly integrated into MEWS would save significant time for finance and operations teams. Currently, workarounds or manual adjustments are required, which can create unnecessary complexity and the potential for human error. An integrated solution would also ensure better compliance with local tax regulations and simplify reporting, particularly for properties operating across multiple outlets such as restaurants, bars, and event spaces. Furthermore, expanding localized payment integrations and providing more flexible tax configuration options for different countries in Southeast Asia would make MEWS even more powerful for international hospitality operators.
