AI reply which is a game changer. Overview versus competitors. key words to focus on. New tool to look at point to focus on.
The interface is user friendly and appealing. The AI is powerful and customizable - it can be set up to auto-reply to all of your reviews or specific ones, depending on the review score, etc. Its language is natural and can identify the way you've replied to past reviews to align with your company's tone, which is a great feature if you want to ensure that there is continuity between your existing replies and Mara's. You can set it up to give certain specific replies to certain topics (i.e. there's no lift). The best thing about Mara is the way it analyses the reviews and breaks down what is negatively and positively affecting your scores you can easily track down the reviews that mention a specific keyword and Mara gives you an overview of how tackling that issue could potentially benefit your score. In short, Mara is a great reputation management system if not the best, as it gives a very accurate overview of what you need to do to improve your property's score. You can add competitors to see how you benchmark against other hoteliers. One of its latest functionalities is that you can ask it anything about your reviews: what are my property's weakest points... and it will answer - it's amazing if you're looking to keep tabs on your reviews.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Some OTAs, such as VRBO, are missing from it. You cannot reply to OTAs such as Expedia or Airbnb the way you do on Booking.com (automatically) - you've got to copy&paste the review and go onto the OTA's site. Its surveys are rather limited. Adding competitors is straightforward but Mara will often not pick up their presence in the different OTAs, so you will have to add those manually, which is a bit of a hassle. I personally don't like the fact that the scores are over 5, I'd rather having a percentage, but that's just a personal preference. I miss a 'this month' on the analytics period. I also miss a functionality to automate reports (i.e. having a monthly report sent out via email on how the properties have performed last month).
