Hotel Simmerlwirt Chooses Mews To Usher In Digital Transformation For Its New Apartment Brand
The family-owned hotel brand is embracing Mews Booking Engine, Payments and Digital Key.
Mews, the industry-leading hospitality cloud, has been chosen by Hotel Simmerlwirt to bring seamless, automated hospitality to its Apartments by Simmerlwirt properties, located in Tyrol, Austria.
The family-owned brand is popular with those seeking spectacular mountain views, with skiing in the winter and paragliding in the summer. Despite its classic setting in the Austrian Alps, the team is embracing digitalization with automation and connected technology throughout the hotel, from embedded payments to digital keys.
“We spoke with a lot of PMS providers, and Mews was our clear favorite when it comes to modernizing guest and staff experiences,” said Simon Seisl jun., Senior Business Development Manager at Hotel Simmerlwirt. “It was also one of our priorities to have a single platform that would handle all our core operations. This allows our team to work more efficiently and confidently, with high-quality support directly available should we require it.”
The Simmerlwirt team’s goal is to ensure that guests receive the smoothest and most consistent experience possible - from start to finish. Providing digital choices like online check-in and mobile keys without the need for guests to download additional apps is a fundamental part of this experience. By utilizing the Mews product suite, including Mews Booking Engine, Mews Payments and Mews Digital Key, guests can do everything on their phones through the browser.
Mews Digital Key uses a secure Bluetooth connection, meaning it works even without network connection. The key can be shared with guests via WhatsApp, iMessage or SMS, with no login required. Access rights can be updated instantly and automatically within Mews Operations, so that when a guest checks out, they can no longer enter their room. This convenience will save time for guests and staff and is a key part of the brand’s modernization.
“We always love to see innovation, but particularly in areas where hospitality typically holds on to traditional ways of working,” said Matt Welle, CEO of Mews. “Brands like Simmerlwirt that embrace cloud-native solutions are much better placed to meet changing guest expectations and ultimately run more exciting, successful businesses – in terms of revenue and experiences.”
