Background
In 2012, Marius Donhauser, a hotelier and now CEO of hotelkit, set a clear goal: to make internal communication in his own hotel more efficient. Together with three developers, he created a solution tailored specifically to the needs of hotel teams. The first prototype was built in Room 404 of his hotel – laying the foundation for hotelkit, now a pioneer in communication and collaboration solutions for the hospitality industry.
hotelkit’s founding team includes Marius Donhauser (Co-Founder & CEO), Christian Weihermüller (Co-Founder), Stephan Lange (Co-Founder), and Hannes Hentzschel (Co-Founder).
Since its inception, hotelkit has evolved from a local Salzburg-based startup into an internationally recognized provider. The company now employs 120 team members and serves more than 3,500 clients in over 80 countries worldwide, including prestigious hotel chains like the Radisson Hotel Group, H World Hotels, and MHP Hotels.
