HotelTime Solutions enters a new phase of growth with an investment from Sandberg Capital
HotelTime Solutions has secured a strategic investment from Sandberg Capital, one of the most active private equity groups in Central Europe. Through Sandberg Investment Fund II, Sandberg acquires a majority stake in the Czech technology company, supporting HotelTime’s next stage of international growth.
The transaction value has not been disclosed. Sandberg Investment Fund II typically invests between CZK 200–500 million, indicating the scale of the investment. According to Sandberg Capital, HotelTime’s strong product, loyal customer base, and experienced team were key factors behind the decision.
Michal Rybovic, Managing Partner at Sandberg Capital, comments:
“HotelTime has a great international product, very satisfied customers, and an ambitious team. We aim to support the company’s next phase of growth not only with capital, but also with our experience in scaling technology businesses internationally.”
HotelTime has been led for more than two decades by CEO Jan Hejny, who has overseen the company’s transformation from a small Prague-based firm into a globally recognised hotel technology provider. According to publicly available information, Sandberg Capital has acquired a 60% stake in HotelTime, while the remaining 40% stays with the existing management team.
“Sandberg’s entry is a strong validation of both our product and our team, and an important step into the next phase of our growth. Despite significant interest from other investors, we chose Sandberg for their experience in building successful technology companies and their clear long-term strategy in Travel & Hospitality Tech, as well as for their unique personal approach that respects our culture, our vision, and our commitment to customers,” says Jan Hejny, CEO of HotelTime.
From Sandberg’s perspective, HotelTime’s readiness for further scaling played a key role in the decision.
“We see strong potential in HotelTime thanks to its strong market position, scalable business model, and its readiness to benefit from the ongoing shift toward cloud solutions in the hotel industry,” adds Michal Rzavsky, Investment Manager at Sandberg Capital.
