M3 Builds Next Generation of Hospitality Financial Intelligence on Databricks
Investment gives hospitality’s leading financial platform the foundation to put AI-driven insight in the hands of thousands of hotel owners and operators.
M3, the hospitality industry’s leading accounting and financial platform, today announced it has selected the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform as the technology backbone for what it builds next, giving the company the data and AI infrastructure to move faster on behalf of hotel owners, operators, and management companies.
M3 serves more than 9,000 entities across North America, processing the financial, labor, and operational data that runs a significant share of the U.S. hotel industry. The investment brings that work onto a single foundation designed for AI from the ground up.
For M3 customers, this investment delivers faster, more focused outcomes. Key capabilities clients have asked M3 for, including sharper forecasting, faster portfolio-wide answers, and earlier warnings on cost and labor variances, now become engineering problems M3 can solve in weeks rather than architectural problems that take years.
The new architecture also consolidates M3’s data under centralized access controls and full data lineage, meeting the security and audit expectations of enterprise management companies.
“Hospitality has never had a shortage of data. What has been lacking is the enterprise data platform and the unique AI models on top to leverage it” said Klavs Miller, Chief Technology Officer at M3. “We built it, and our customers are going to feel it this year.”
The first capabilities built on the new architecture arrive this fall. More will follow quickly, and customers should expect the pace to keep increasing."
