What do you like most?
The communication and coordination between different departments are very easy to navigate. It helps keep everyone informed, allows us to stay organized. Overall, it helps improve teamwork and daily operations. We can also communicate with the guests and keep track of lost and found items/inventory. That is a great addition I noticed with hello shift also. I like being able to communicate with team members quickly without having to search for someone or rely only on face-to-face communication. It is helpful when sharing important updates, like VIP Preps for housekeeping or urgent fixtures for maintenance, following up on the requests and making sure everyone is on the same page. It helps improve accountability because employees and managers can stay up to date on what needs to be done, and if it was done in a timely manner. The urgent option with creating the task helps. In housekeeping it is especially important because we work closely with front desk, maintenance, and other departments if needed. Having one platform where information can be shared makes it easier to keep operations running smoothly. I appreciate having access to information when I need it, especially during busy shifts when things can change very quick. Overall Hello-shift is a useful tool that supports teamwork, organization, communication, and productivity. I believe it helps create a better working environment and allows us to provide better service to our guests. I appreciate that it keeps everyone connected and helps reduce misunderstandings, making our daily responsibilities easier to manage and complete successfully.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
When creating a task and adding multiple photos, employees from different departments are not able to view each photo on the task when clicked. My manager used different systems at other hotels and brought to my attention, that she could not speak into the microphone to create a task in case she is too busy to stop and type out the task. I can confirm I tried to create a task with my microphone, but it says failed to create task/note. Adding this feature on hello shift can be a great addition, especially on busier days in the hotel.
