Our experience with Civitfun's solution has been quite disappointing. Throughout all the pre-contract discussions, we were never informed that we would need to assume additional costs from our PMS provider. In practice, to use Civitfun's solution, we also had to contract another solution from our PMS provider. What's most surprising is that this requirement is something Civitfun is fully aware of, but it's relegated to the fine print of the contract, allowing them to avoid any responsibility. When we discovered this, we immediately informed our sales representative. Their response was that they couldn't do anything about the invoice because it had already been issued to the accounting firm. We consider this explanation completely inadequate, since an invoice can be paid or corrected with a corresponding credit note, especially when it had just been issued and the service hadn't even been used yet. But the worst was yet to come. Despite everything, we decided to try to proceed and connect our hotels. One of them never even had the service operational, despite having contacted technical support on several occasions. The other one suffered so many problems for approximately six months that we ultimately had to consider abandoning our own PMS solution altogether in order to eliminate Civitfun. In short, our experience has been one of a lack of transparency in the initial information, costs that weren't clearly communicated, and numerous problems during the implementation and operation of the service. We expected a solution that would streamline our processes, but it ended up creating more problems than it solved.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Greater commercial transparency: Clearly communicate all requirements for implementing the solution from the outset, including any additional costs the PMS may incur. Explain limitations before signing a contract: Customers shouldn't discover after signing that additional solutions or services are needed for the integration to work. Improved interdepartmental coordination: Information provided by the sales, technical, and support teams should be consistent and aligned. More effective technical support: When a service fails to function correctly, the issue should be tracked until resolution, especially when it affects an operational hotel. Greater accountability for implementation issues: If an integration fails to go live or experiences ongoing problems, a clear solution should be provided to the customer, rather than simply referring them to the contractual terms. More flexibility in addressing unforeseen problems: We believe it's important to foster greater dialogue and a more collaborative approach when customers discover requirements after signing a contract that weren't previously explained.
