What do you like most?
Innovative with regular product updates, good support, feature-rich reporting including automatic emails, gift cards, all in one payment systems, ease of use, integrations in restaurant space, KDS great, all in one payments and taking orders on square terminals or ipads makes it really easy to take payment and super efficient with no mistakes. Easy menu and item management.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Disappointingly no integration with hotel PMS - so cannot do room chargebacks or track spend (I understand MEWS has been trying to integrate with them but Square has been very reluctant). Lack of COGS and Wage cost reporting to get a model daily profit and loss, doesn't provide spend per cover, no integrations with hotels so cannot do room chargebacks, bugs with automated card surcharging so it doesn't apply if table is split or if cash is paid it still surcharges automatically. End of day reports can be slightly confusing at despite GST in Australia being included by law in prices, it takes it out as a separate line item and positions credit card surcharges next to item sales instead of next to GST. Kitchen ticket printers do not work - do not buy these!!!
