What do you like most?
From a leadership perspective, the centralization of data is the platform's most significant asset. Managing both Business Development and Sales & Events requires a "macro" view of the property's performance. HotelFriend allows me to oversee the entire sales funnel from the moment a lead enters the system to the final settlement of an event invoice. The modularity is also excellent for business development; it allows us to scale our tech stack in alignment with our growth phases without the friction of a total system overhaul. Additionally, the integrated Booking Engine has been instrumental in our direct-booking strategy, allowing my sales team to focus on high-touch corporate accounts while the software automates the retail revenue stream. The ability to sync event space availability with guest room inventory ensures that my teams are never working in silos.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
To further empower the Sales & Events department, I would like to see more advanced CRM (Customer Relationship Management) functionalities specifically tailored for long-term corporate lead nurturing. While the current system handles active bookings beautifully, a more robust "Sales Pipeline" visualization similar to dedicated B2B CRM tools would help in tracking multi-year contract negotiations. Furthermore, enhancing the Event Management module with 3D floor-plan integrations or more granular BEO (Banquet Event Order) customization would streamline the hand-off between my Sales team and the Operations team even further.
