What do you like most?
Cloudbeds excels in reservations and reservation types. We are able to make multiple sources to accommodate our different types of bookings. We can also separate payment types for different types of bookings. Everything is very customizable. It's easy to block off rooms for maintenance or housekeeping holds. I also love the reporting feature in Cloudbeds. They have every report you could ever need built into the system. Our implementation was very smooth and handled very well. We operate very differently than other hotels and our onboarding specialists were excellent about finding us solutions to be able to provide the experience we needed to create for our unique clientele. The way Cloudbeds integrates with Expedia and other outside sources is very smooth. Moving over to Cloudbeds drastically reduced our manual workload. We had a lot of manual processes that are now handled seamlessly with Cloudbeds. The feature of being able to add our own rooms to the tapechart has been a huge time saver for us. In the past, we would have to put in a request to have a room type added or changed, and now we can do it ourselves with a few simple steps. That feature alone, is worth moving to Cloudbeds.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
One thing that I would like to see improved is the Housekeeping module. I would like to be able to pull a housekeeping report directly from Cloudbeds. I like that you can change rooms from dirty to clean which helps us know if the room has been cleaned in case a guest needs a early check in, but I would like to see some improvements on the back end of the process. It would also be nice to see some sort of a maintenance module introduced to Cloudbeds where we could directly send service requests to maintenance for items that need fixed in the rooms. The only other change I would love to see, is the ability to add totals to some of the reports. A lot of the tax reports don't have total at the bottom. I have to export the reports and then change the column types and sum the totals. That is more time consuming than I would like, but the information is still there.
