What do you like most?
The general interface is quite awesome. It is very easy to use, to get familiar with and very complete. I do enjoy the accessibility of the timeline, where you can edit rooms as easily as sliding them from one space to another with one simple click and drag. You also get a clear view of your availability, check-ins for the day, room states. The customer service is also quite quick and efficient. Dealing with payments is also quite easy, and I do like the payment machine. Mews Kiosk is also a nice tool to have if you have a tablet for your guests to complete check-in. Also when you deal with a great group of clients, the availability group blocks, and the rooming list template are two great tools. The guest messaging gives you the opportunity to get in touch quickly with your guests, and they can reach you also quite easily. The integrations for other booking engines such as booking.com can be challenging at the beginning, but the team is always here to back you up, and Mews University always has a question. I am not a huge fan of AI, but the AI chat bot does a good job to solve quick easy issues or queries, if one specific tool or tab slipped your mind as to where it was, it can solve that doubt very quickly.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
A couple options or tools could be made more efficient for hoteliers to use. For example, when you add manually a payment there is absolutely no way to modify or to refund this payment, it will be forever on Mews. The invoices and re-issue invoices process could be a bit clearer. I also enjoy a lot the "Out of order" functionality, but being able to modify multiple blocks at the same time, modify them in the past, deleting them, would be even more awesome flexibility wise. Also as I work in a country in which we need to send a report to the police every day about our activity, the integration inside Mews to make that report available daily could really use a do-over.
