What do you like most?
Skytouch accessibility is great. I love being able to check my property from anywhere by logging into my phone. I also really appreciate the integration with online bookings. The Support team is always receptive and quick to respond as well. Although Skytouch can be a bit disconnected with regards to needing information from other areas of the program while not wanting to leave the area of the program you're on, having the quick task buttons on the home page as well as the menus at the top of almost every page you're in does help with ease of usage. The introduction of the room search at the top right side of the program also allows front desk agents to quickly look up a guest room rather than having to find the correct menu and search through there. I do find the accounts receivable reports easy and concise which makes the accounts receivable process simple and easy to track. I like the hotel statistics report as well as it has all the daily information you need, the monthly information as well as the same month in the previous year and the year to date this year and last. It really makes strategizing rates and staffing easier. I also like the community board on the main page. It allows me to send quick messages to my staff from anywhere and it acts as a quick reference for my team!
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
There are a few suggestions that would really make Skytouch even better. First, if there was a way to be able to see a guest profile by clicking their name inside a reservation to see preferences and other notes, that would really streamline the information we need at any given time. Even just a pop up window with notes and preferences would help. Second, being able to see multiple weeks on the tapechart rather than only one week at a time would streamline the room assigning process. Finally, we've been saying this since we started with Skytouch, There should be a dedicated place for a PO number on the invoices rather than just slipping it into the address line or the comments line.
