What do you like most?
I deliberately chose happyhotel because I didn't want a tool that would then be outsourced abroad—or one where we could only communicate using English. We're in Germany, and I want programs like this. happyhotel impresses with its intuitive operation and clear reporting, making it easy to optimize prices based on data. The automated price recommendations are particularly helpful, saving time and simultaneously increasing revenue. Overall, the software noticeably simplifies daily work and leads to better decisions in revenue management. The ability to compare yourself with other hotels is especially beneficial, allowing you to better assess your own pricing strategy. The easy entry of events also helps to identify peak demand early and react optimally. This allows for more targeted price adjustments and the generation of additional revenue. But above all, one thing is crucial: Be bold! Be bold enough to actually implement the prices, because that's the only way such a tool truly makes sense.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
We see room for improvement, especially regarding the system migration: The move from HS/3 to Ibelsa was somewhat bumpy and didn't go smoothly from the start. We also would have appreciated faster feedback in some cases. For smaller businesses, more or more detailed informational videos would be helpful to learn the functions step by step at their own pace – however, once everything is set up, the system is impressive in everyday use. There is also room for improvement in the billing process: The current structure is geared more towards larger businesses. For smaller establishments, more flexible models such as monthly or quarterly billing at no extra charge would be significantly more helpful and easier to plan.
