What do you like most?
I love that Alice keeps everything organized with the shift schedules, and the note taking. We can check off the list of things we need to do on our schedules, and it helps us stay on track during the shift. If anything of note comes up on shift, we can write it in the notes system, and it will let other shifts know what to look out for. Furthermore, I love that there is an app version on the phone, in case we need easy access to the checklists or notes.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
I think the desktop version of Alice is amazing! The one area that needs more work, is the Alice app on the phone. I know it helps with ease of access, but there are some details that I'm not able to access on the app, that I'm able to see on the desktop version. One example is the notes system in the app. I'm not able to find the notes section that we detail anything that happens during our shift. Furthermore, the app doesn't ask me for the multifactor authorization code that it normally would ask for on the desktop app. Instead of using the multi factor authorization code that the desktop version asks for, there should be an option for fingerprint recognition, or even facial recognition. It might be a little too much to ask for right now, and it could be overkill on security, but it does replace the need to visit two different apps on your phone to access Alice. If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to add the notes section on the app from the dropdown menu for easy access. The notes section is an integral part of my job's communication, and is just as important as the guest requests menu. The other area that is probably optional, is the lost and found tab. During our shifts, we do tend to get busy, and don't have time to type everything in the computer, we are busy trying to help guests, and making sure we write things down in Alice so we don't forget. A lost and found tab on the phone app would help us quickly input the lost item, without needing to think too much about it. The form for the lost item could be shortened so that we could put a brief description, such as the item label, color, room number. Overall, the desktop Alice exceeds my expectations, and I only hope that the Alice app reflects the desktop capabilities as well.
