What do you like most?
Because managing multiple properties across our portfolio brings a unique set of operational challenges, we absolutely love Event Temple for providing the comprehensive tools that consistently make our jobs easier every single day. If we do happen to run into something we don't know or just need a quick refresher, Event Temple has excellent customer service and quick response time. They also have live trainings that I have found incredibly useful since I am fairly new to this role. The automated workflows and the intuitive document builder are absolute game-changers for our daily operations. When you are juggling different locations and coordinating various teams, the highly customizable workflows are essential for keeping us perfectly organized. They help us proactively stay on top of every single group, ensuring that absolutely no detail—no matter how small—falls through the cracks during the crucial planning and execution stages. Additionally, the document builder is incredibly user-friendly and robust, making it an absolute breeze to quickly generate and send out highly professional proposals or customized contracts to our prospective clients. It allows us to maintain strict brand consistency across all of our different properties while saving our sales staff countless hours of manual administrative work each week. We also heavily rely on the built-in email logs to meticulously track our extensive communication history and keep everyone on the exact same page. While we deeply value having this high-level visibility into our sales pipeline, the email logging functionality could be slightly improved to make tracking inbound client replies and external communication threads completely seamless. Ultimately, the entire Event Temple platform provides the exact leverage we need to successfully manage our varied properties with confidence, speed, and efficiency.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
While we love the platform overall, the biggest area for improvement would be introducing more flexible, modular pricing structures tailored to different types of hotel operations. Currently, the pricing feels a bit 'one-size-fits-all,' which doesn't perfectly align with our specific business model. Because we manage smaller properties that lack huge, dedicated event and banquet spaces, our focus is strictly on group room blocks. We rely heavily on the excellent 'Groups' features, but we have absolutely no use for the robust catering and event management tools the system offers. However, under the current pricing model, we are still required to pay for those catering capabilities even though they sit completely unused in our account. If Event Temple offered a 'Group-Only' tier or an à la carte pricing structure, it would provide significantly better value and a stronger ROI for limited-service or smaller boutique hotels that only need a subset of the platform's full functionality. We are currently trying to find a more cost effective option that would fit our needs better.
