What do you like most?
It's better than a paper PO system, I suppose. But maybe not, at least a manual process based on spreadsheets can be updated and improved in a reasonable timeframe. Basic features continue to be missing in iBuyEfficient and take weeks or months to be added, if they ever do.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Everything. Unlike much better competing procurement applications like BirchStreet, there's no capability for adding Attention Names to purchase orders, so packages inevitably arrive with no indication of what department to be routed to. Vendors cannot be looked up by their "doing business as" name, which is the first line on the address field, they can only be looked up by their legal name, however cryptic and unknown that name may be to users. When searching GL Codes, any word with a hyphen in front is ignored, for example F&B-Cost of Food does not show up when searching "cost". When searching GL Codes, only one word can be searched, for example "operating supplies" yields no results, while "operating" shows all Operating Supplies accounts in random order. Department names are not shown next to the GL Code, for example all departments' Operating Supplies accounts are labelled identically. There's no Consolidated/Total view for looking up all PO's, necessitating regular hopping back & forth between the Online PO's view & the Offline PO's view. PO Statuses do not include Partially Received or Fully Received. PO's cannot be Received from the actual PO, they can only be "Received" by creating an invoice in Invoice Manager. GL Code breakdown within a PO disappears after the PO has become Accepted. The Checkbook can only display 19 GL Codes at a time. Multi Period Amortization was supposed to have been rolled out mid September, but November is days away and there's no ETA on when that will finally be made available. Zero communication or updates from support. Meanwhile all the users at our property are forced to work with this extremely limited beta software. Stay far away for a couple of years until they work out the hundreds of kinks keeping this from being acceptable in a professional setting.
