What do you like most?
We run five treehouses in two hectares of forest, and there is no reception. That is the whole point of the place. Our guests come for silence, the trees and a breakfast box on the terrace, and that is what they write about in their reviews. But a hotel without a front desk still gets front desk questions. Where do I park, what is the door code, can the breakfast box come at nine instead of eight, is the stove lit when we arrive. When we took over, those questions arrived by phone, email, Booking.com and WhatsApp, and two owners who also have day jobs were answering them from the car. chatlyn is now our digital concierge. Every channel lands in one inbox, and the AI answers around 85% of enquiries itself, in German, English and Czech, because a good part of our guests come across the border. The rest reach one of us on the phone with the whole conversation attached, so nobody has to explain their question twice. The part that changed the stay itself is the guest journey automation. Three days before arrival, guests get a WhatsApp message with directions, the door code and their breakfast preferences, and roughly one in three books a late departure or a bottle of local sparkling wine in that same conversation. After they leave, we ask for a review while the forest is still in their heads. Five houses, about 900 stays a year, and the guest communication for all of them takes maybe twenty minutes a day. For a place built around not being disturbed, having the AI handle the questions quietly in the background is the best kind of service we could offer.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Hard to say. For a property our size it does what we need and stays out of the way. If anything, I would have liked to find it a year earlier.
