What do you like most?
What we like most about SiteMinder is how the platform allows us to have greater control, visibility, and efficiency over our entire distribution strategy. Daily, having a centralized view of inventory, rates, and different channels gives us more confidence to make decisions and allows us to manage more strategically what we want to sell, when we want to sell it, and through which channels. The Insights part is also a very important tool for our work. It allows us to analyze the production of different channels, monitor pick-up, and better understand booking patterns and demand behavior. Access to this information helps us identify trends, understand which markets and channels are generating more business, and make distribution and revenue management decisions based on concrete data. Another aspect we highly value is the ability to compare results with previous periods, especially with the previous year. This comparison gives us a clearer perspective on demand evolution, helps identify changes in our customers' behavior, and adjust our strategy whenever necessary. SiteMinder has also brought a significant improvement in operational efficiency. Processes that previously required more time and manual intervention, such as mapping new channels, are now much simpler and faster. Automating rate closing and various other daily procedures helps us reduce repetitive tasks and minimize operational work. This time saving has a very significant impact on our way of working. Instead of constantly focusing on manual and operational processes, we can dedicate more time to analyzing results, defining our distribution strategy, optimizing rates, and identifying new business opportunities. We also value the possibility of diversifying our partner network and expanding our distribution strategy. Access to different channels allows us to reach new markets and different guest profiles, increasing sales opportunities and contributing to business growth. Ultimately, what we value most about SiteMinder is precisely this combination of technology, information, and automation. The platform provides us with the necessary tools to have greater control over distribution, better understand the performance of our channels, react more quickly to demand changes, and at the same time, make our operation more efficient. More than simplifying processes, SiteMinder allows us to work in a more strategic way, freeing up time for what truly adds value: analyzing, anticipating demand, optimizing results, and making better revenue management decisions.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
In our case, the main area where we see room for improvement is in the connection between SiteMinder and our PMS, Apaleo. An even more complete and seamless integration between the two platforms would improve information communication and further reduce some processes that currently require manual intervention or monitoring. Greater depth in the integration could also help us work more efficiently and get even more out of the functionalities of both platforms.
