What do you like most?
It is very well organized, and helps me to keep track of every movement we have throughout the day. I especially appreciate having the application on my phone, it allows me to quickly check who is in which room without having to use my laptop. There are so many features I am still learning about, but Cloudbeds University is really useful. My first year working at Salara, I used Cloudbeds University religiously. I think the most useful feature when it comes to guests is the notes section of every reservation. Anything that happens, I can put into one place where the rest of my team can read it. Whether it be a complaint, a special request, or simply registering their check-in voucher, the notes have become vital to our hotel operation. I also appreciate the Housekeeping side of Cloudbeds, where our cleaning team can keep us informed with which rooms are clean, which are dirty, and they can also see from their own phones or computers which rooms will be occupied, disoccupied, and can plan ahead in the week. Another favorite and most used feature is the calendar, and making a reservation directly through the calendar. When I'm dealing with quite a few emails wanting to make reservations, it's so easy to just select the dates on the calendar and manually fill out the rest. I know there are other ways to create a reservation, but the using the calendar is the quickest and easiest for me. I also really appreciate their pay by links, we use those a lot for guests who want to make a reservation directly with us. We also use the pay by link to help guests pay their outstanding bill without having to present themselves at reception. I think if I were a guest, that would be one of my favorite features as it is something I've not seen at other hotels. Overall, Cloudbeds is a very well made, professional, and coherent property management system that I would recommend to everyone else who is working in the hotel industry. I had actually recommended the system to my past boss who used Airbnb as his main platform.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Honestly I don't think there is anything that Cloudbeds could improve. Their system is already very well designed, simple and with Cloudbeds University there really isn't anything that you wouldn't learn.
