What do you like most?
Cloudbeds stands out for its ease of use in managing reservations, channel distribution, and cross-platform connectivity. Everything is centralized in one place, greatly streamlining daily operations and reducing the margin of error when managing availability. Its payment system meets all requirements thanks to its integrated gateways, which facilitate secure and organized payments. However, it would be even more comprehensive if it incorporated tax compliance for Mexico, as issuing CFDI (electronic invoices) directly from the platform would save time and eliminate external processes that are currently tedious for Mexican hoteliers. It boasts an extensive marketplace that grows daily. Its integrations with other platforms expand hotel control, enhance the profitability of your property, and allow you to adapt the system to the specific needs of each business, regardless of size. Furthermore, its training platform makes learning to use the system much simpler, with clear and well-structured resources that accelerate the learning curve for both new users and entire teams. Overall, it is a solid, scalable, and highly recommended tool for modern hotel management.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
I believe Cloudbeds has two significant opportunities in the Mexican market: 1. Electronic invoicing (CFDI). The most critical issue is the lack of tax enforcement in Mexico. Issuing CFDI 4.0 directly from the platform would be a tremendous added value for Mexican hoteliers, who currently rely on external processes. In fact, I have FacturaPoint, a CFDI 4.0 electronic invoicing system, which could be integrated to address this very need and standardize the reservation-payment-invoicing workflow within a single environment. 2. A fairer pricing model. The pricing structure could be revised to be based on the property's actual revenue, not just its size or number of rooms. Currently, a "large" hotel like Casa Blanca (81 rooms) can generate less revenue than a small boutique hotel with higher rates. Adjusting costs based on actual revenue, rather than just room volume, would make the tool more accessible and equitable for independent hotels. In summary: integrating CFDI invoicing and making the pricing structure more flexible would greatly strengthen Cloudbeds' value proposition in Mexico.
