What do you like most?
From the perspective of the operational management of a leading first-class hotel, HotelFriend offers an impressive solution that perfectly maps the entire rooms management area and beyond. I particularly appreciate the holistic, all-in-one approach: the seamless integration of the PMS, channel manager, and direct booking tools significantly reduces friction at reception and in reservation management. For us, as a German hotel, direct access to premium German-speaking support and the guaranteed legal compliance through inspection in Germany and Austria are invaluable advantages. In our daily administration, we benefit immensely from the flexible invoice workflows; splitting and processing invoices is intuitive, and the DATEV interface ensures error-free transfer to our finance department. The Booking Engine Pro has exceeded our expectations in increasing direct bookings, while the event management system, through the use of packages, greatly simplifies the coordination of complex bookings. Despite the size of our hotel and the complexity of our requirements, the HotelFriend team offers a highly personalized service, develops tailor-made features, and maintains a partnership on equal terms through personal on-site visits, which is essential for the strategic development of our hotel.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Due to the platform's extensive functionality, the implementation and training phase can be quite demanding for a large team. The system's versatility leads to a learning curve, which is why we recommend that every larger hotel operation take full advantage of the on-site training offered to perfectly align the individual configurations with their own standards from the outset. Looking ahead, we would like to see even deeper standardization of the reporting library, enabling us to generate specific operational KPIs and custom reports even faster and more independently of individual development requests. Further acceleration of the user interface when handling extremely high data volumes would also be a valuable step towards increasing efficiency during peak periods.
