What do you like most?
Helloshift is an excellent tool at helping staff coordinate various tasks that need to be done. It helps you organize your departments to ensure details are not lost in crossover. It also is effective at cross department coordination that eliminates the need for tedious and time consuming meetings. It's checklist feature is also extremely helpful for staff to stay organized by using the @, you can tag different team members and entire departments! For more sensitive issues, the private channels are also very nice, especially if the topic is important and not time sensitive (for team members who are not there). The integrated text messaging, task maker, and review links are all extremely effective and user friendly features and help this product standout amongst other competitors. The service is clean and has tech support if you ever do have a question about functionality.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
The largest issues Helloshift has are small fixes. When guest messages are recieved, it is excellent at alerting the user, but the background refresh does not occur after the message is resolved. This should be a fairly simple fix for a tech company that would go along way for larger userbases. Additionally I would like for HelloShift to add group specific messaging, allowing users to filter messages to different departments. For instance my hotel has a valet department and they do not need to be alerted for every message that comes through. A pin feature would also be extremely helpful, such that important tasks that are posted a week before hand do not get lost. They are pinned on the checklist tab, but a more prominent pin would be appreciated. I also wish that guest messaging worked more like IMing. This would help with the rendering issue (detailed below) and would help keep guest messages in a more convenient and orderly placement. It would add so much to HelloShift's already boastful intuitive use. Lastly Hellloshift has had latency issues lately. These are more annoying than anything. Waiting just to render a checklist or see a guest message is infuriating and honestly should not be as bad as it is. Optimization is definitely needed.
