What do you like most?
OTA insight business intelligence application is : - User friendly - Customizable - Time saver - helpful - straight forward - immediate - The best feature is the possibility to analyze each single room type for any given property. The possibility to understand the competition discounting strategy. Overall it gives a great understanding of the market trends and the opportunity to be responsive to any relevant change in demand and competitiveness. The possibility to spot in real time when a specific room type is sold out. This allows the hotel to set the proper oversell strategy by room type while monitoring the availability of each competitor. It gives also an indication of the inventory strategy across the competition and the market demand for each room type according to the left availability. The room type mapping allows to avoid the comparison of different room type within the same room category. We have created a storage room type that includes all rooms that we want to esclude from the analysis. This way we are not considering any rate change due to a different room type available within the same room category. We want to compare always the same type of room to identify change in rates. We have done the same with the suites by including only one type o f suite in each category.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
- Giving the option to shop the rates for a range of more than a single month instead of having to do the refresh month by month for any length of stay. - For a resort it is important to have more the 90 days out (120 days would be enough). - Having the possibility to merge two different reports for instance one with a LOS of 1 night and the other with 3 nights. The merge can be done also between a brand.com and a booking.com report in order to find always the best available rate across the distribution for each day of the week. The possibility to customize a report that includes already different tabs for each room type taken into consideration in the analysis. It would be great if you could create a section with an overall market trend by region or by country divided by hotel/resort
