What do you like most?
User friendly interface has made adopting this technology much easier for my managers and staff. The ease of understanding labor data to implement real time changes is the most useful aspect of innflow thus far. I also think that the Overtime at Risk feature is extremely helpful for a large hotel management company to quickly localize where labor can be quickly optimized. I also think the ability to compare labor analytics in business analytics against several properties is helpful for a large management company to be able to standardize labor. In the accounting aspect, the standard KPIs being available on a daily, weekly, monthly and YTD basis with the ability to customize comparisons (against budget, against last year, etc) is great for streamlining many data points into one consolidated tool. I especially enjoy that we can now see out of order rooms, comped rooms, and no shows in the daily flash page which can help us quickly reach out to managers and understand why. I also find the accounting features to be easier to review for invoice entry and the data extract and mapping feature is one that I find has been useful to implement efficiency in invoice entries. I also find assurance in the security of the ePay system that allows vendors to be paid via virtual card, ACH through InnFlow and therefore protects business banking information. I am also looking forward to pulling the KPI metrics against our budgets and being able to give managers guidance and performance feedback to improve labor control, boost revenue and reduce controllable expenses.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
The PTO policies are difficult to understand how to input. If there was a more streamlined way of understanding the concept and allowing for a probationary period (90 days), that would be ideal. Also, the PMS mapping on the backend is another conceptually difficult thing for front end hoteliers to understand. I have difficulty with knowing for sure that our revenue and chargebacks are being recorded correctly. Specifically with USALI 12th edition, I am not sure if the correct code is applied to bad debt. I also think having a dual brand hotel is complicated for this interface since it cannot separate rooms sold in the daily entry.
