What do you like most?
As a Reservations Manager, I work with Mews on a daily basis, and one of its biggest strengths is the level of automation it offers. Many routine tasks – such as reservation handling, availability management, and billing – are streamlined, which significantly reduces manual workload and allows us to focus more on guest experience and revenue optimization. What I particularly value is the flexibility of the system. Rate structures, products, and restrictions can be customized to fit different business needs, which is essential when managing multiple distribution channels and varying booking conditions. The system also integrates well with third-party tools (e.g. channel managers, revenue management systems, and payment providers), creating a smooth and efficient tech ecosystem. Another major advantage is the ability to manage multiple properties within one system. This ensures consistency across locations and simplifies centralized reservation handling. That said, some features are not immediately intuitive and require a bit of experience to fully understand. However, once you are familiar with the logic of the system, it becomes a very powerful and reliable tool for daily operations. Conclusion: A modern, cloud-based PMS that is especially well-suited for operational efficiency, scalability, and professional reservation management.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Some settings and configurations are not always intuitive or easy to locate, especially when dealing with more complex rate structures or restrictions. A more user-friendly navigation or clearer guidance within the system would help reduce the learning curve and save time in daily operations. Additionally, greater transparency in error messages and system notifications would be beneficial. In some cases, issues (e.g. related to availability, occupancy settings, or integrations) are not immediately clear, which can make troubleshooting more time-consuming than necessary. Another point is reporting: while Mews offers solid data, more flexibility and customization in reports – especially for reservations, segmentation, and revenue analysis – would significantly improve usability for operational and strategic decision-making. Overall, these improvements would make an already strong system even more efficient and user-friendly, particularly for teams managing multiple properties and complex distribution setups.
