What do you like most?
eTip has provided our guests with an easy and convenient way to leave digital gratuity for our room attendants—serving as both a modern tipping option and, at the very least, a subtle reminder to leave cash if they prefer. Since its introduction last April, near the end of Snowmas ski season, the program has generated over $3,000 in additional tips for our team. Our owners have also been very supportive of this tool, as it offers them a simple and direct way to show appreciation to the room attendant who prepared their unit to their standards. The set-up process for adding Room Attendants and connecting their bank account is incredibly easy to use. We've had minimal problems enrolling new team members and assigning their tips.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
The login screen currently requires two separate verification codes before granting access. After entering the first code, the second prompt feels redundant and adds unnecessary time to the login process. Additionally, because I manage TOV and Aspenwood tips exclusively, having the main screen automatically default to those two properties would streamline the workflow and eliminate several extra clicks each time I sign in. We have also introduced our own customized eTip signs in place of the standard paper versions provided by the program. These upgraded signs offer significantly better durability and visual appeal for both guests and owners. I would recommend that eTip consider offering a more durable, higher-quality sign option during property onboarding, as it would elevate presentation and longevity across all environments. My final suggestion would be to provide property managers with the QR codes for each individual unit. We use digital welcome guides to help guests navigate dining options, shopping, and general property information. Including the unit-specific QR code—or a digital tipping link—within these guides would complement the physical collateral placed in rooms. This digital placement would allow guests to tip their Room Attendant with a simple click, while also serving as an additional reminder alongside the in-unit signage.

Amazing, love to see these results! Fantastic job getting the program rolled out, and we'd love to see final pic of the customized signs at the property! And yes, managers can pull the room jars/url's via the dashboard! This is a great idea to add them to your digital welcome guides. Please reach out to your CSM or [email protected] and we can show you where to pull this info!
