What do you like most?
Love being able to chat with guests via text messaging. I am a traveler myself and typically use the chat options myself.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
One improvement I would love to see implemented is the option for guests to receive **digital room keys directly on their smartphones** after completing the pre-arrival check-in process. This feature would create a more seamless, convenient, and efficient arrival experience, especially for guests who have already provided all required information and completed the necessary verification steps before arriving at the hotel. With digital keys, guests could bypass the Front Desk, particularly during busy check-in periods when there may be a line, and proceed directly to their assigned rooms. This would be especially beneficial for business travelers, frequent guests, and those arriving after a long day of traveling who simply want to settle into their rooms without unnecessary delays. From an operational perspective, this feature would also help reduce Front Desk congestion, improve efficiency, and allow team members to dedicate more time to guests who require personalized assistance. Of course, proper identity verification and payment authorization would need to be completed before issuing a digital key to maintain security. Overall, I believe this enhancement would modernize the guest experience, improve guest satisfaction, and provide a more convenient check-in process while maintaining the personalized hospitality that our guests value. Additionally, this feature could be integrated into the Wyndham Rewards mobile app, encouraging more guests to download and actively use the app throughout their stay. Guests could receive notifications when their rooms are ready, access their digital keys, review reservation details, and communicate with the hotel directly from their phones. This would also create opportunities to promote hotel amenities, special offers, and additional services. For hotel operations, digital check-in could help streamline arrival procedures, reduce repetitive administrative tasks, and improve overall productivity during peak occupancy periods. It would also provide a competitive advantage as travelers increasingly expect convenient, technology-driven experiences. Most importantly, guests would still have the option of traditional Front Desk check-in, ensuring that technology enhances hospitality rather than replacing the personal connections that make each stay memorable and enjoyable.
