What do you like most?
From the perspective of a Computer Science student, working at a local hotel while going to college: - This software is fluid and functional. When I need to accomplish something, it's in an easy-to-find place and loads swiftly. - When I need to put a room out of order, the functionality is present in this software to put in a maintenance request. - When I need to check what rooms are clean, the UI makes this process quick and easy. - Tracking daily tasks doesn't take up any screen real estate, since it collapses cleanly back against the side of the screen. All the important information is right on the home screen for my job, meaning I can leave it up in the corner of my monitor. (Everything scales down very nicely to fit). From a technical perspective this has a lot of great features as well: - Right clicking on the rooms in "Rooms View" gives a different menu than left-clicking, which is intuitive and allows each to be their own separate menu instead of one cluttered one. - the post interface has never felt "bare bones", and I don't want to undersell the value that can bring. It's not intuitive that the ability to "like" a post or leave a comment on one is useful in a business sense, but it has come up on more than one occasion. - The clock feels silly, until you realize that this means you can turn on your toolbar's auto-hide feature while never having to pull out your phone to see the time.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
The only feature I truly care about is the housekeeping panel, and my only frustrations come from when the panel itself does not automatically update. (I wish I could give you the steps to reproduce the problem, but there are cases where changes have been made to the graph and yet the graph does not update, nor does the "updates available" button appear.) another nice-to-have would be if the sidebar could persist between sessions for making a post. Multiple times I would lose a post that I had been writing over the course of my shift (such as adding a pet room every time a guest with a pet checked in) because I had, without thinking critically, closed the window or refreshed the page.
