What do you like most?
This is an easy to use platform that offers insight into several different areas of business intelligence. I know that I can always find new business by uncovering more layers in Insight/Knowland. This platform offers the ability for a user to build multiple competitor sets, including cities that may compete for similar business. That is critical to uncovering new business that our market may not have been aware existed as an option to pursue. We really like how timely the information is delivered to us and that we have the ability to immediately assign accounts to our sales managers - they receive an email notification making it very easy for them to click on the email and be taken directly to Knowland / Insight and then further directly to that account's piece of business that was in the competitor venue. This provides them with a fast and easy way to conduct their own business development.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
I really like the small training sessions that are offered so maybe more of those. I also would love to see more "real life" and business intel sessions offered where we can gain more insight into current trends or things that are happening in specific segments of business. The data within accounts has definitely become more relevant and current, but there still seems to be a significant gap in account contacts and who books what. It would also be great to uncover which contacts within an account prefer specific brands or types of hotels - for instance, are there accounts or contacts who repeatedly book programs in historic urban hotels? That would be very helpful to be able to drill down to that type of specific intel. I do hope that there is a way in the near future for this platform and system to better understand which hotels have room block only groups --- in a business climate that is reducing meetings or holding meetings at local offices, we know we are missing out on competitor intel of what groups with rooms only (no meeting space) are in the hotels. Identifying information such as this could really improve the overall intel of what this platform has to offer.
