What do you like most?
As Head of Operations at a boutique hotel, selecting the right PMS is one of the most critical decisions we make. After the discontinuation of Oracle Hospitality Suite8, we undertook a thorough search for a modern, future-proof solution that would not only replace our previous system but significantly improve our operations. That is when we discovered Mews. From the very first demonstration, it was clear that this was not just another PMS. Mews is intuitive, innovative and designed around automation and efficiency. The integrated payment solution alone has transformed the way we operate. Automated payments, seamless reconciliation and reduced manual handling have resulted in tangible time savings and fewer errors. The digital tools available within the system allow us to create a smooth and contemporary guest journey — from booking to check-out. Everything feels connected, streamlined and designed with both the guest and the operator in mind. Another standout feature is Mews University. The fact that such a comprehensive and well-structured training platform is included — at no additional cost — demonstrates the company’s commitment to empowering its users. It allows teams to build confidence and expertise independently, which is invaluable during implementation and beyond. Most importantly, the human element has been exceptional. The onboarding process was structured, transparent and extremely well supported. Our onboarding manager, Rasmus M., was outstanding throughout — knowledgeable, patient and solution-oriented. He ensured that we felt confident at every stage of the transition. Switching to Mews was not simply a system upgrade; it was a strategic operational improvement. I can wholeheartedly recommend Mews to any hotel looking to modernize and optimize their operations.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
We have been using Mews PMS for some time now and have yet to encounter any disadvantages whatsoever. Our experience has been consistently positive. If we were to suggest one enhancement, it would be the addition of integrations within Mews POS for OpenTable and Mews Gift Vouchers. Also, developing a POS for Spas where you can sell time-limited tickets with an hourly surcharge for staying longer would be great. That would be a very welcome addition and an excellent finishing touch to an already outstanding system.
