What do you like most?
Sonnenalp isn’t a simple small guesthouse — as a full-service resort/hotel, it has many departments: front-desk, housekeeping, maintenance/technical (pool/spa/wellness, building maintenance), guest-services, HR, possibly F&B, and more. For such a complex operation: A unified ops tool like hotelkit helps coordinate across many departments so that guest requests, cleaning, repairs, and maintenance are all managed centrally — essential in a large, multi-faceted hotel. With frequent turnovers and many cleaning/maintenance tasks (rooms, spa, wellness, equipment), hotelkit’s digitized workflows reduce errors and prevent delays. We are aiming for high guest-service standards, fast communication between Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Guest Services ensures guest requests are addressed quickly and efficiently. For management, hotelkit provides transparency and oversight: you can monitor task status, maintenance history, staff assignments — helpful for quality control, planning, and continuous improvement. For staff satisfaction: streamlined processes, clear communication and fewer chaotic “paper-and-phone-call” workflows make day-to-day work less stressful and more structured, which helps with retention and performance — crucial in high-service environments like resorts. Greater team engagement, transparency and reduced overhead The platform supports shift handovers, internal news announcements, staff-wide communication, and even social/team features (news feed, chats, idea sharing). This helps connect staff and promote transparency — good for morale, cohesion, and avoiding miscommunication in our team. Because tasks and information flow are centralized and digital, there’s less time lost on coordination, fewer errors, and overall increased productivity — freeing staff to focus more on guest service rather than logistics. I appreciate Hotelkit because it centralizes communication, improves housekeeping efficiency, and makes both maintenance and daily operations more transparent and structured.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Make the user interface (UI) even more intuitive Many employees — especially housekeeping and maintenance — would benefit from: Fewer clicks to complete tasks. Larger buttons / clearer icons on mobile. A more visual structure (priority colors, status highlights). Faster handling for staff who are not very tech-savvy. Offline mode. Huge improvement for large resorts like Sonnenalp: Many areas (basement, spa, maintenance zones) have no WiFi Hotelkit should allow offline task creation & automatic sync later With hundreds of employees and tasks: Faster loading Less scrolling Stable performance even at peak usage times
