hotelkit was founded seven years ago by the Austrian hotelier Marius Donhauser. He had just taken over his family’s 50 room boutique hotel in Salzburg. Frustrated with the lack of communication between his 20 employees, Donhauser began looking for a tool that would make organizing his hotel a bit easier. He quickly realized two things: He was not alone in his quest. Even state-of-the-art hotels struggled with internal communication. And the tool he was looking for did not exist. So, never one to say no to a challenge, Donhauser and his co-founders simply sat down and invented it.
Today, hotelkit reaches more than 1,200 clients in over 40 countries, from small boutique hotels to international chains. The software is now available in 21 different languages. At their Salzburg headquarters, Donhauser and 70 exceptional young professionals from over a dozen different countries are pouring their hard work and passion into building an excellent product and providing outstanding service to clients. hotelkit is here to stay.
