Need help with your Vrbo listing or account? When you’re welcoming dozens, hundreds, or thousands of guests, you’re bound to run into a problem every once in a while. Vrbo offers a few different ways to find answers and get support for any issues you may have. Vrbo has a wealth of resources for owners and property managers available online for self-service assistance, or you can contact their support team via phone or email.

Self-Service Support

To get started with self-service Vrbo or HomeAway support, click the “Help” button on the top of the homepage. If you’re an owner or manage just a few properties on Vrbo or HomeAway, then select the “Owner Help” link. If you manage many properties or connect to Vrbo via a channel manager, then select “Property Manager Help.”

Since Vrbo’s phone lines are often busy with guests and other owners who are also trying to get assistance, self-service support is usually the fastest way to find answers. However, if you’re dealing with a very specific question or a less common issue, then you might not be able to find an answer in this section.

The help center for Owners contains answers to many questions about managing your listing, such as:

  • How do I edit my House Rules?

  • When do the changes I make to my listing appear on the site?

  • How do I refund a traveler without canceling the reservation?

  • How do I add or edit my tax rate?

The Vrbo help center can also help you troubleshoot problems with your Vrbo account and payouts.

The Property Manager help center offers many of the same resources as the Owner page, but with some extra content related to software integrations and managing listings on a larger scale. You don’t need to be a property manager to access this section, so if you’re curious about possibly connecting to Vrbo with a software provider, then you can read about the connection process here.

In addition to the help sections, Vrbo and HomeAway offer a Discovery Hub for owners and property managers, which contains news, updates, and best practices. You can find tips on how to improve your vacation rental business and read about new Vrbo features.

Chat and Phone Support

For more specific issues, like a question about an individual reservation or technical support, then you might want to speak to a human. Vrbo offers both phone assistance and online chat support on a 24/7 basis.

To contact Vrbo, start at the main help center and scroll down to the “Contact Us” button. Select the topic that relates most closely to your issue.

After you’ve made a selection, you’ll see two buttons for “Chat” and “Call.” Select “Chat” to begin an online chat with a Vrbo representative, or choose “Call” to see the Vrbo phone number available for your region.

Vrbo’s toll-free number in the United States is 1-877-202-4291. Since many owners and property managers could be calling at the same time, wait times can vary.

Community Support

Besides receiving support from Vrbo’s service team, owners can discuss issues and best practices with other owners and property managers in the Vrbo Partner Community forum.

In this forum, you can browse (and participate in) threads about trust and safety, traveler trends, and property operations, or you can start your own discussion. If you’re looking for a specific topic, you can use the search bar to find relevant boards.

When you’re using Vrbo or HomeAway, you’ll have several support options at your fingertips at all times. Vrbo’s phone and online chat support are available 24/7, as are the community forum boards and the help center resources, so you can usually find answers to all of your Vrbo questions quickly and easily.
