Strategy is also very good to pulse check how your within market on various area, Ranking & Parity are also useful.

Introduce more options on cancellations policy. ie. Advance purchase, semi-flex and non-refundable. this will help us to position our hotel for like for like cancellations.

We find the flexibility to deep dive into the trends and data very useful when refining our commercial strategy. For us at InterContinental Phuket we use the tool daily to review market demand, competitive pricing and geo/channel and segment trends. Great to also have the new functionality around mapping hierarchy and naming.

We would love to be able to look at the following data:
Booked Room vs Stayed Room to understand upgrade trends and revenue opportunity.
Also rather than just be able to select an element, would be good to be able to "exclude" one element as well. for E.g. to look at the data "without Thai Geo or something"
For Pick-up metrics, we would like to be able to select the period rather than have the fixed intervals, three, seven, fourteen and thirty days days.
We would also like to see incremental revenue streams for food and beverage and spa, as the data is easily available in PMS, as this will give us much more of a Total Revenue focus on our decisions.

After getting the right rates that fit, and using my own software to weigh in the concessions, I can answer even the hardest bids within 15 minutes. Faster bids get more business. My first year using this I am crushing my competition.

I will always tell a hotelier to do their due diligence when looking for new software but when checking out Lighthouse to really dig deep into everything they can do. They have a lot of different tool that can be utilized to help improve hotel function and because of this a hotelier doesn't have to get multiple software's to do different jobs.

As mentioned before, OTA Insight provide a range of really insightful products including Market Insight, Rate Insight, Parity Insight and Revenue Insight without which you as a hotelier are operating 'blind'.
