"Offering guests the ability to text and use the app to place requests makes a lot of sense. We’re on our phones all the time anyway. It’s a lot easier than calling the front desk and potentially being placed on hold, and you can also place requests off-site."

ProfitSword brings all of the information from all hotel properties regardless of type and makes it meaningful, while at the same time being timely. The information is a combination of financial and operational to give decision makers the full view that they need.

What differentiates this product or service from the competition?
There are more than a few, but there are 3 keys ones. First, ProfitSword has feeds from every possible different PMS systems. That along with the level of service that comes from the ProfitSword team to make sure that the feeds are working is huge. Second, the lengths that the ProfitSword team will go to make sure that the information is customized to fit each organization. This often means changes to existing reports and creation of new reports and feeds. Lastly, the way the system is built allows for timely information. Without ProfitSword is would take days or often weeks to compile information that ProfitSword refreshes throughout the day.

Based on your experience with this product or service, if you could give one piece of advice to a hotelier considering this product or service, what would it be?
Take the time to review how your track your financial information in advance. How you structure your chart of accounts in your finance system, which cost centers you define and the level of detail that you budget and code transactions will be an important part of what feeds into ProfitSword. Having the right chart of accounts in place will maximize what ProfitSword can tell you about your business. Doing that right takes time to plan and execute, but will make an enormous difference.
